Cute baby

I went into Elise's room this morning and found her with her butt in the air and a little crack sticking out of her diaper. I thought it was so cute and had to take a picture. I am sure this is one of those pictures she'll hate when she is older - oh well!

Weekend in Philadelphia

We had a wonderful weekend visiting our east coast family in Philadelphia. This was Elise's second plane trip. She did as well as a baby can, but it is hard to entertain her for two hours when she really can't move.

She didn't seem to want to sleep in her pack n play at night and cried until she made herself sick. So, one night she slept with me and another she slept with Wes. Otherwise, she was very good and had a great time. She especially loved following around Holly the dog; unlike Sam and Abby, Holly hasn't learned to run away from young children.

Wes and Steve enjoyed playing on the slide at the park while Elise played in the swing with her Great Aunt Pam.Elise with (second) cousin ChristieElise with Mommy and Great Grandma

With her second cousin William, who is a year and a month older than her

Naughty Elise

Wes was playing Guitar Hero the other day and Elise took advantage of his hands being occupied by getting into his cds. I thought it was very funny! That girl is getting around these days. She is wearing herself out, too. She is usually asleep by 8 p.m., which is great for me! She also has four teeth all coming in on the top - she is growing and changing every moment.

On another note, I changed the setting on our blog so that anyone can post comments - that means I want to see more commenting. Otherwise, I wonder, is anyone reading this?

Random Thoughts and Pictures

Sorry folks, this paragraph has nothing to do with Elise. But, maybe it does. Because I am so my mother and maybe one day Elise will comment on how much she is like her mother - I don't know. Wes and I bought a bench at a garage sale - it was so ugly when we purchased it! It was dark brown and just looked so country. I went back and forth about buying it because it looked so bad. But, I decided to go for it. Anyway, Wes and I painted it, and it just unbelievably transformed how it looks. I love it! As I was painting, I kept thinking, when did I become just like my mom? I'm glad she taught me how to find a bargain and make it work! My bench sits in my foyer, so people have a place to set their things when they come over. Here's a pic.

Here are just a few random pictures. Our friends, Tim and Heidi Lauger, moved to Pennsylvania. They stayed at our house the night before they left. Their daughter, Anna, is one month older than Elise. She makes Elise look normal in size instead of so huge!
Elise is in this phase where she spits her food - it is really obnoxious, but then she grins really big, so it is hard to be mad at her!
These are just a couple videos I took on my camera. I was trying to get Elise to show off her clapping and waving skills.

photo shoot

I am definitely not a photographer, but I had a little photo shoot with Elise this morning. I actually got some good shots. Enjoy!
